This position reports to the Principal via the Operations Manager and the Property Team Coordinator. Applicants need to be Christians of Reformed/Evangelical persuasion, who are active in their own churches and whole-heartedly subscribe to the School’s Educational Creed.Tyndale Christian School is set on a 5.6-hectare property in Blacktown, with approximately 970 students from Pre-school to Year 12. We have been on our current site since the late 1970’s and our buildings are a mixture of permanent brick structures as well as demountable classrooms.This position is paid under the School Operational Services Stream of the NSW Christian Schools General Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023. We ideally seek someone to work three days (22.8 hours) per week on Monday, Thursday and Friday, but are open to negotiating the precise days and start/finish times.This is a "hands on" position and applicants need to have a demonstrated competency across a wide range of property-related tasks including general property maintenance plus grounds and garden care. The role necessarily involves a good amount of physical activity and some lifting and carrying. A trade or similar qualification would be highly regarded, as would the holding of an LR License (or a willingness to get an LR License).Applicants need to be physically able to cope with the manual tasks involved and have a good work ethic. A good knowledge of Work Health and Safety is desirable.
